Where students collaborate, create and make change happen for a better today and an even brighter tomorrow. We not only prepare our students for the next step in school – we prepare our students to have and use their skills, talents and passions to make a positive difference.
Our purpose and values influence everything we do, from how we teach math and the way we schedule our classes to the kinds of activities students engage in at recess and how we plan our learning spaces.
Come for a visit and see for yourself how we are developing the thinkers and doers of tomorrow – in our classrooms and in our Teacher Preparation Program.
I look forward to meeting you and partnering in this important work on behalf of our children.
Warmly,
Honor D. Taft

Our graduates leave Friends as curious, creative, collaborative, resilient, compassionate, advocates… and friends.
Friends School has been transformative for our son. Coming from public school, he went from a student/teacher ratio of 27:1 to 8:1. With cool project-based learning, we noticed he was immediately more engaged and positive about school. But the biggest payoff has been seeing him grow academically, emotionally, and socially. His teachers recognize his unique strengths, while nurturing him in weaker subjects, which ultimately fosters newfound confidence. When our son completed fifth grade, he and his classmates all stood up and gave speeches with jaw-dropping grace and poise that went with him into middle school. We're so grateful for Friends School!

Best program ever!!!
I have three children that attended Friends School and it was the best gift of education! Now that they are in high school middle school and college, The core values of head, hand, heart, and the love of learning that the teachers emphasis in their programs continue to carry my kids through their academics and life.Parent of Alumni
My experience at friends school was something that played a huge role in who I am today. Thanks to all of the amazing teachers, friends, and memories that I made there, my experience at friends taught me the importance of being myself no matter what, and to always look on the bright side of things and have as much fun as possible. Growing up in such a supportive environment that was chalk full of adventures made me appreciate where we live and the people that I’ve gotten to know, and I wouldn’t trade it for the world!
