Mark Dorr

I’m excited to be teaching in Farren Wyner’s 4th Grade class.

I am a Colorado native with a Master of Arts in English and a Bachelor of Science in psychology as well as being a Fulbright recipient in education. I taught at Colorado State University and Pikes Peak Community College and was involved in the Center for International Education and academic English program at the University of Northern Colorado. In addition to my work in Colorado, I have worked in a variety of countries including Guatemala, Poland, Romania, and Pakistan. I’ve also been fortunate to work with African Union members from a variety of countries.

An explorer by nature, I enjoy travel, learning new concepts, studying people, and improving my skills. Thankfully, I have this opportunity with a quality school: Friends School.

When not teaching, I’m with my family in Fort Collins or at our property near Ward, chatting with friends, refreshing my wilderness skills, writing, petting any willing dog, and high-fiving trees I pass when I’m biking!

Challenging minds. Nurturing spirits. Honoring individuality.
