I am incredibly thrilled and appreciative to be joining Friends School staff this upcoming school year as a Teacher Candidate in Zoe Solomon’s 1st grade classroom.

Before pursuing my teaching license, I’ve worked with kids and adjacent to education in a variety of capacities, ranging from providing tutoring and music lessons for children, working as a full-time nanny and providing online schooling support during COVID, and most recently working as a marketing specialist for Alfred Music, a company that provides sheet music and resources for K-12 music classrooms. I heavily value providing a space for children to comfortably exercise their self expression, whether it be their range of emotions, their creativities and passions, or their unique personalities. I also strongly admire community and human interactions and strive to create an educational environment that fosters socialization , mindfulness, emotional learning, and connectedness.

I was born and raised on the western slope of Colorado in the small town of Palisade (known for their peaches!), yet I have called the Front Range home since moving here to receive my undergraduate degree from CSU. In my free time I can be found skiing, biking, camping, hiking with my dog Walter, working on jigsaw and crossword puzzles, strumming my guitar at local bluegrass jams, and playing small solo gigs (singing and guitar) around the Boulder area!

I come from a family abundant with incredible and admirable educators, and I am so excited to have the opportunity to learn from them and the incredible teachers at Friends School and move into the field of education myself!

Challenging minds. Nurturing spirits. Honoring individuality.
