Zoe Solomon

Originally from Los Angeles, I moved to Colorado to attend school. Since graduation, I have been working with young children in a variety of capacities: as an adaptive ski intern, ski school instructor for children ages 3-6, and as a Kindergarten assistant at a Waldorf school in Boulder, where I fell in love with working with children in a school setting. I was part of the Friends Teacher Preparation Program, where I had the wonderful opportunity to learn and grow as an educator through classroom seminars and my student teaching experience in two Kindergarten classes. Since then, I have taught first grade in Arvada and was welcomed to Friends School last year as the first grade teacher. Through all of these experiences, I have learned first hand the value of building relationships within my community, the importance of truly teaching the whole child, and how to help all children feel capable and confident in themselves as learners and people.

I am so honored to be returning to Friends School for my second year, and I look forward to continuing to getting to know and share my passion for teaching with each and every one of you!

When not in the classroom, you can find me hiking, skiing, biking, eating yummy food, knitting, spending time with friends, or traveling to LA/NY to hang with family, dogs, and my two year old nephew!

Challenging minds. Nurturing spirits. Honoring individuality.
